Operators and engineers, in the same room.

OrbitX Infotech Private Limited exists because the two halves of a manufacturing transformation are almost never done by the same people — and the gap between them is where the value goes.

Advice that has to survive being built.

A consultant who never has to implement their own recommendation will recommend differently. So will an engineer who never had to explain to a plant head why the number moved. We built OrbitX so the same people do both, because that constraint improves the advice.

Our founding team spans process and manufacturing operations on one side, and software, data and AI engineering on the other. In practice that means the person who spends a week watching your changeovers is the person who specifies the capture screen, and is in the room when an operator first uses it.

A small senior team

Deliberately. The model does not work with a delivery pyramid, because the continuity is the point.

Locked to one answer

We license our own solution, implement other platforms, and build bespoke. Which one you get depends on your process, not on what we would rather sell.

Diagnosis first

Our audit fee is the same whichever of those three you end up with — or none of them. That is the structural version of independence.

Two disciplines, one team.

Transformation work fails at the seam between people who understand operations and people who can build systems. We removed the seam by putting both inside the same team.

Operations & process

People who have run production, quality, maintenance and improvement functions inside working plants. Who have stood on a floor at shift change, chased a yield loss to its root cause, and had to explain a missed number to a plant head on a Monday morning.

They lead the audit, own the roadmap, and decide what is worth digitizing before anyone specifies a screen.

Engineering, data & AI

People who have taken software into production and kept it there. Machine connectivity and industrial protocols, data platforms, integration into ERP and MES, application engineering, and machine learning applied where the data genuinely supports it.

They build what the roadmap calls for, and they were in the room when it was written — so nothing has to be re-explained.

Why this pairing is rare

Consultancies staff the first discipline and subcontract the second. Software firms staff the second and guess at the first. Platform vendors sell you a product and leave both to you. Holding the two together in one senior team is deliberately harder to run — and it is the reason our recommendations survive contact with the floor.

Who you will be dealing with.

Not a partner who sells the work and hands it to someone you have not met. On an OrbitX engagement, the person who scopes it is on your floor for it.

Shreyash Bagodi

Founder

More than a decade in manufacturing and in the digital transformation of manufacturing — on the plant side and on the solution side. Roles have spanned heading solution design for digital transformation, through to director at a digital transformation solution provider.

Working across a large number of plants teaches you something a single site cannot: the technology is rarely the constraint. The same failure patterns recur across sectors and across products, and they are almost always about how work was designed, adopted and owned — not about which software was chosen. OrbitX is structured around that observation.

Beyond the founder

Engagements are staffed by a small senior team, with specialist partners brought in where a particular discipline calls for it. You will know exactly who is going to be on your site before the work starts — not after the contract is signed.

What you can hold us to.

We say when software is the wrong answer

A meaningful share of what gets sold as a digitization problem is a process problem. Automating it makes it faster, not better, and we would rather lose the build than take that money.

We measure before we change anything

Baselines taken before the build, measured after, against the numbers in the business case — including the honest report when a benefit did not land.

You own what we build

Source, documentation and architecture handed over as we go. Your operation should never be hostage to our availability.

The same people throughout

Whoever walks your floor in the first week is in the room at go-live. No re-briefing a team that was not there.

Start with the audit, not the software.

A fixed-scope engagement. We walk your floor, map where data breaks down, and hand you a costed roadmap — whether or not you build any of it with us.
